Overview of scenarios

A Scenario file identifies a set of CITE services, and how their contents relate to each other. CITE services may be Canonical Text Services, with passages of text cited by CTS URN, or Collection Services, with objects identified by namespace-qualified IDs. One or more Reference Index Services provide automated associations between pairs of CITE services.

Objects from these services are organized in a directed graph expressed in GraphML. (See graphml.graphdrawing.org for more information.) The nodes of the graph are the canonically identified CITE objects, and edges of the graph point to Reference Indexes or other sources for the association of two nodes.
